Let's celebrate Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ's inspiring youth

Every day, young people across Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ show resilience, kindness and courage. They support others, challenge themselves and achieve things, big and small that deserve to be recognised. Do you know someone like that? Maybe they’re someone you live with, teach, support—or maybe they’ve even helped you.

Now’s the time to nominate them for the Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ Youth Voice Awards 2025.

Celebrate young people

Young people have told us they want to be celebrated. These awards give them a platform to be seen, heard and valued. They also allow young people to nominate others, highlighting the achievements they admire most.

Award recipient Emma shared:

“It felt amazing to be nominated. It makes an impact. So many young people do amazing things and there isn’t always the opportunity to celebrate them. The awards give us that space.”

Last year, over 300 nominations were received, and many were celebrated at a special event. With more than 240,000 children and young people in Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ, there are many more stories waiting to be heard.

You can nominate anyone aged 7 to 25 who:

• lives in Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ
• uses services in Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ
• is a care-experienced young person or care leaver placed outside Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ

Award categories

You can nominate an individual or a group across seven categories, including:

• Youth Voice and Participation Champion – for those who speak up for others
• Championing Climate Action and Greener Futures – for young environmental leaders taking action through advocacy, projects or local work
• Wellbeing Award – for those supporting others or overcoming personal challenges
• Inclusivity Award – for promoting inclusion and belonging
• Young Unsung Hero – for someone quietly making a positive difference in their community or someone else’s life

There are also awards for Education Achievement and Employment Achievement.

Deadline for nominations

Nominations close at midday on Friday 3 October 2025.
