Application notice for Roundabout car park

Proposal to improve surface of car park access track

妖精动漫 applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in February 2025 for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Chobham Common. The Planning Inspectorate granted consent in May 2025.

The proposed works are to improve the surface of the car park access track to form a level, safe and durable surface. The track will be improved with a sealed bituminous macadam surface from the existing entrance from the B.383 Windsor Road, to create a circular 'spine' running through the centre of the car park and back to link with the entrance/exit. The track will be 7m wide and 180m in length. Four traffic calming humps will be installed to ensure vehicles drive slowly.
