Course intent

Celebrate the beauty of spring by learning how to arrange seasonal blooms into stunning displays that will add charm and colour to your home.

What will I learn?

You will learn:

How to create one or two seasonal flower arrangements (depending on time and style) using fresh spring flowers and foliage

Practical tips on how to care for your flowers to keep them looking their best

Techniques and inspiration to help you make additional festive arrangements for your home

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

Discover your artistic potential and have fun along the way. SAL workshops are suitable for beginners and those looking to improve their skills. All materials will be provided (unless stated in course description), and you'll leave with your own handmade creations. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

You need to bring:

A notebook and pen

Scissors

A bucket for flowers

A plastic sheet or cloth to work on

A small knife

An apron and closed toe shoes

Flowers and foliage

The fee does not cover the cost of materials. A list of materials (including flowers and foliage) will be sent out prior to the start date.

What can I do when I finish the course?

In discussion with your tutor, you may like to progress onto Flower Arranging – Stage 1 or other Arts & Crafts courses at SAL.

We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. When you enrol, please let us know if you would like to discuss your extra support needs with a member of the Supported Learning Team who will then contact you as soon as possible. If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
