Course intent

Create a unique pair of earrings using titanium and silver in this hands-on workshop. Learn basic jewellery-making techniques including cutting, shaping, and finishing, and experiment with titanium.

What will I learn?

You will learn:

How to measure, mark, cut, texture, and form metal

Jewellery-making techniques including sawing, filing, soldering, and polishing

Safe working practices in the jewellery studio

How to experiment with titanium

Discover your artistic potential and have fun along the way. SAL workshops are suitable for beginners and those looking to improve their skills. All materials will be provided (unless stated in course description), and you'll leave with your own handmade creations. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

You need to bring:

A notebook or sketchbook

A pen/pencil

An apron or wear old clothes

Closed-toe shoes

A packed lunch or refreshments

What can I do when I finish the course?

We offer a range of jewellery and silverwork classes during the week including evening classes at both Guildford and Woking. Workshops provide a day of learning a technique and how to make a piece of jewellery in a day. We offer enamelling (earrings and a pendant), making a silver brooch, making rings (some with sea glass) and silver chain bracelets.
