Course intent

Refine your skills, knowledge, and expertise in this fascinating and analytical card game. At this stage in your Bridge playing, you will be joining a local Bridge club or maybe playing competitively and this course will allow you to make the most of such opportunities, extending your technique and playing skills.

The intent of the course is to support players joining a Bridge club or league.

What will I learn?

Some or all the following will be included during the course:

  • Advanced bidding systems, conventions and agreements
  • Advanced declarer play techniques
  • Advanced defensive strategies
  • Playing more competitively

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is suitable for those who have completed at least three years of Bridge playing.

You may be asked to study independently for 10 minutes a day.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Bring a notebook and pen to take notes.

What can I do when I finish the course?

You can progress to Bridge - Advancers - Year 1 - Term 3.

Our Bridge courses are planned to provide a clear route for progression, through the academic year, and beyond.
