Equipping and empowering our community for a digital future
These days, we can do our weekly shop using an app without leaving home. We can see and talk to loved ones on a screen, even if they live in another country. Technology makes life easier and helps us do things like book doctor’s appointments online.
But not everyone finds it easy to use technology. Some people, like older adults, low income households or those with disabilities, might not have the skills or equipment they need to keep up with new devices and apps.
A study by Age UK in 2024 found that 4.7 million people over the age of 65 don’t know how to open apps, connect to Wi-Fi, or check their bills online.
Being able to do these things can help people feel more confident and independent. It also gives them the same chances as everyone else to stay connected and get support.
This is where our new Digital Support for 妖精动漫 webpages can help. It is a one-stop-shop highlighting support for those who are unable to get online or do not have access to technology.
On the webpage, you’ll find helpful links for:
- Learning digital skills
- Getting internet access
- Support for low-income households
- Broadband coverage
- Accessibility tools
- Help from local libraries and other groups
- Volunteering to help others
- Donating old devices
If you know a loved one, neighbour, client or customer who would really benefit from help, you can let either them or their carers know about our webpages.
Visit the Digital Support for 妖精动漫 webpages to learn more about the different skills training on offer, volunteering opportunities, donation of old devices and much more.
