We're running a series of "Let's Talk" engagement sessions to provide communities with an opportunity to ask us about local government reorganisation and our preferred option.
Our local government reorganisation representatives will be present at these sessions, and printed materials will be available for review. You will have an opportunity to engage directly with us, ask questions, and understand the proposed changes and what they could mean for local communities.
Online information session
Join us to learn about local government reorganisation in Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ and our preferred plan for two unitary authorities. The session includes a question and answer section, with questions received in advance via the registration form, by email at devolutionandlgr@surreycc.gov.uk or live during the event.
Date: Monday 7 July
Time: 7pm to 8.15pm
Location: Online (Microsoft Teams)
To attend the event, either join directly via the Microsoft Teams app, or via your web browser using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
The live session will be recorded and made publicly available, so if you can’t make it you will get an opportunity to watch it at a time to suit you.
Future engagement sessions
Further summer sessions are being organised and will be announced once details are confirmed.
Government consultation
Central government is holding a consultation about the proposed plans for devolution and local government reorganisation in Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ. This will run until Tuesday 5 August 2025. This will help government to understand what residents, businesses and other stakeholders think about the changes in Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ. They will use the results from the consultation to help them make a final decision on which option is best for Ñý¾«¶¯Âþ.
