A Reluctant adventure to a Land of Dragons with author , Sophie Cork
Saturday 13 December at 3.30pm.
Sophie will be reading from their debut novel A Reluctant adventure to a Land of Dragons.
Fidra Ignis is a pensioner with a plan: to save all of dragon-kind from an impossibly deadly danger with only her sharp wit, her big heart, and her extremely reluctant grandson who just wants to stay at home and let somebody else save the world. Together, they will make fierce enemies and fiercer friends, rediscover unknown lands, and change the course of the entire world. Or, you know, get immediately thwarted by the sheer impossibility of their mission and go home for tea and biscuits before the day is done. Either way, it’s going to be a lot of fun.
We hope you can join us. The story is aimed at teenage/young adults but can be enjoyed by everyone!
No need to book, just turn up!

Pebble rhymetime and storytime
Pebble rhymetime
- Every Tuesday at 11am followed by Baby Duplo
- Tuesday Rhymetimes will focus on fostering a calmer environment without musical instruments and includes bubbles and stories with a sensory element. We sing the same songs each week to create a structured and predictable session. Tuesday Rhymetime is usually run by a neurodivergent member of staff.
- Rhymetime is followed by Baby Duplo. Aimed at children aged 1.5 years and upwards, this enables children to explore, share and create. All parents can stay and socialise in a friendly and supportive space.
- A visual support board is available for any parents/carers to share with their children during Rhymetime. Please ask at the desk before Rhymetime begins.
- A Social Story is available to support this Rhymetime. Please ask at the desk.
- Every Thursday at 11am
- Every Saturday at 11am and 3pm
No ticket needed, just drop in.
